The Boston Fleet beat New York in a shootout to enter the International Break on a good note.
The Boston Fleet played one of the most intense games of their history in front of a sell-out crowd at Tsongas Center on Friday night. Here is a look into how that all went down.
This was a very intense game for both of these teams. A total of 30 PIM were served between the two teams and tensions were high. We even had a player shove the green monster! The captain wasn’t happy about that one.

Alina Muller had one of the coolest goals in Fleet history to date, an absolute silky shot on the breakaway, which also happened to be Boston’s first jailbreak goal of the season. This happened with just 12 seconds left of the first period!

The second period had Boston fans biting their nails while watching a brick wall contest on the ice between Aerin Frankel and Corinne Schroeder. Neither wall was giving up a shot!
Boston took a two-goal lead in the third period with a goal from the rookie Hannah Bilka.

New York defender Ella Shelton scored two goals back to back to tie the game up. On the second goal, Taylor Girard picked up the secondary assists (please come back, Girard). This caused the game to go into overtime.
Overtime was not enough for these teams either and a shootout would settle it!
Round one:
(BOS) Alina Muller, goal!
(NY) Noora Tulus, no goal!
Round two:
(BOS) Hilary Knight, goal!
(NY) Sarah Fillier, no goal!
Round three:
(BOS) Susanna Tapani, no goal.
(NY) Jessie Eldridge, no goal!
Round four:

Boston wins it in the shootout and heads into the international break with a win and in fourth place!
Their next game is Feb. 12. against *checks notes* New York, again! Boston will be back on the road, hopefully, they can manage to pick up another win.
