CONNECTICUT NOTES
The sun finished last season with a winning record of 28-12. They finished second in the Eastern Conference but lost in the semifinals to the Minnesota Lynx. The Sun have lost some notable players like Alyssa Thomas, Dewanna Bonner, Dijonai Carrington, and others. Many fans have questioned this start of a rebuild, especially since they reached the semifinals last year.
WASHINGTON NOTES
The Mystics finished fifth in the Eastern Conference and missed the playoffs with a losing record of 14-26. Ever since their finals series win over the Sun in 2019, the Mystics have struggled in the postseason. The Mystics have found themselves in a rebuild and will look towards their younger, talented players to lift them through the season towards a winning record.
