Next up on the ‘New England is Unrivaled Series’, Aliyah Boston!
Aliyah Boston – or should we say, Aliyah BOWston, in honor of her favorite catchphrase–is not just a basketball player. She also plays an important role in the future of Boston sports as an investor for the Boston Legacy FC.
So who is this basketball player and investor?
Aliyah Boston was born in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, where she lived until the age of 12, when she moved to Worcester, Massachusetts to pursue basketball at Worcester Academy.
After graduating from Worcester Academy in 2019, Boston played college basketball at the University of South Carolina. As a Gamecock, Boston became an NCAA National Champion in 2022.
Boston was the first pick in the 2023 WNBA draft and was drafted by the Indiana Fever. In 2023, she was unanimously voted WNBA Rookie of the Year. She has played for the Fever since.
Throughout the 2025 WNBA season, Boston averaged 15 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. In 2025, she was an All-Star for the third time and named a member of the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team.
Aliyah Boston will spend the winter playing for Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart’s 3-on-3 Unrivaled league. This is her second year playing in Unrivaled. Last year, she played for Vinyl Basketball Club, and this year, she was drafted to Phantom Basketball Club for the 2026 season.
You can watch Aliyah Boston on the court this winter in Miami or Philadelphia at a Phantom game, or through streaming on TNT, TruTV or HBO Max. Stay tuned in after the game to hear her say, “Bow, bow, bow!”
