She played her rookie year and most of her sophomore season in D.C. until Aug. 7, when she was traded to the Connecticut Sun. Connecticut, a state already filled with Edwards’ fans, welcomed Edwards back enthusiastically.

Throughout the 2025 season, Edwards averaged 5.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks per game.

This year, for the second consecutive year, Edwards will be participating in Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league led by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. She played for Mist Basketball Club last year, and this year, she will be playing for the Lunar Owls Basketball Club. Edwards will likely be looking to claim the championship in the Unrivaled 1-on-1 tournament, in which she earned second place to Napheesa Collier last year.
