Casey Murphy has been signed by Boston Legacy FC!
As a free agent after ending her North Carolina Courage career, Murphy will be joining the Boston Legacy as one of their goaltenders. Boston Legacy has been building up their roster, and Murphy is a great addition.
As an athlete, Murphy has been an asset in the National Women’s Soccer League, as well as in the 2024 Olympics as the backup to Alyssa Naeher for Team USA. Additionally, she played in France for Montpelier and was a fantastic standout at Rutgers.
This top-notch goalkeeper signed with the Legacy on contract until 2029, but left a mutual option of possibly playing the 2030 season. This signing is valued at $1.5 million! She will be part of Boston Legacy FC’s inaugural season in 2026.
Boston fans are quite ecstatic about this new player, and can’t wait to see what she will bring to the field!
