The Fleet take their second loss of the season after a long battle.
Yesterday, on Dec. 27, 2025, the Boston Fleet played the Ottawa Charge at TD Place in Ottawa. The game went into a shootout. It was the Fleets’ first time having a shootout this season.
The first period started and the Charge took the lead when Stephanie Markowski scored in the 15th minute of the game. The Fleet then held them from scoring until the third period.
The Fleet gained momentum in the second period. Olivia Mobley scored in the 12th minute of the second period. And in the 19th minute, Haley Winn scored, giving the Fleet the lead.
In the third period, the Fleet held Ottawa until the 17th minute when Fanuza Kadirova scored, tying the game.
Neither team scored in overtime, leading to a shootout. The Fleet scored two goals, while the Charge scored three in the eight-round shootout, leading to the Charge’s win.
The next Fleet game is on Jan. 3 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. It’s on at 7 p.m. and they are looking for a win.
