Happy New Year from all of us at Women of the Northeast! Starting off 2026 with awarded athletes, great articles and the next moments of the winter season!

Weekly Wrap Up:

Quite the moment for Assumption University women’s hockey, as goaltender Jadyn Weiser has earned a New England Women’s Hockey Association Goaltender of the Month award! Weiser, a junior at Assumption, saved 63 out of 67 shots during her time on the ice. Her skills in net were a key factor in the games so far this season! Congratulations, Jadyn!

The Boston Fleet are well represented in the PWHL’s Starting Six for December. On Friday, Jan. 2, three players from the Fleet were announced as a part of this monthly award. Defenders Megan Keller and Haley Winn, along with goaltender Aerin Frankel, make up half the chosen athletes. This award goes to players who have made their mark on the ice and who are a solid representation of their team. Way to go, ladies!
