Boston Guard midfielder and Boston College alumna, Cassidy Weeks is a woman of the Northeast!
The Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL) announced that the first full season will come in 2026! May 15-17 will be its first-ever opening weekend right here in Rhode Island at Centerville Bank Stadium! The inaugural championship will be in August in Philadelphia. Among all of the exciting news and the transition to a full season, sits a player who has dedicated endless time to the game of lacrosse: Cassidy Weeks.
Cassidy Weeks, a New York native, began her lacrosse career in high school. At Bayport Blue High, she saw many honors, including High School Athlete of the Year. She also played for a club team in New York. She then went on to play for Boston College, earning so many honors it would be impossible to list them here. By her senior collegiate year, she had started every single game since her freshman year, which was a COVID-19-affected schedule.
Weeks ended her collegiate career with 97 consecutive starts, two ACC titles, two national championships and a number of awards. She beat numerous personal, season and career records in different categories. Weeks graduated from Boston College in 2024.
In early 2025, the WLL announced the rosters from the inaugural teams for the 2025 Maybelline Championship Series. This is when Cassidy Weeks was announced as a part of the Boston Guard team. The Boston Guard went on to win the inaugural 2025 WLL Championship, with Weeks being a big part of the roster. She was even called to play in the 2025 All-Star Game.
In 2025, Weeks was called to be a member of Team USA for multiple tournaments, including the 2025 World Games. She was also a part of the Pan-American Women’s Lacrosse Championship roster. Here, she registered two goals and three assists. Additionally, she had six caused turnovers and six draw controls. Her impact is not to be ignored.
Now, in 2026, Cassidy Weeks has been called up again to Team USA for the 2026 World Championships alongside Boston Guard teammate Charlotte North! At just 25 years old, her winning resume is extensive. Playing in a city that takes their titles seriously fits! As the league grows into a full season and interest increases, Weeks is a star who will continue to shine beyond the spotlight!
