It all came down to OT for the Fleet to secure the win! Who will they face next? Find out below!
Last night the Boston Fleet faced the Vancouver Goldeneyes at the Pacific Coliseum. There wasn’t much action in the first and second periods, other than a few minor penalties on both sides. But three minutes and 19 seconds into the third period, Boston’s Haley Winn scored the first goal of the game, assisted by Susanna Tapani and Jamie Lee Rattray.
The Fleet’s lead did not last very long. Vancouver’s Sarah Nurse and Sophie Jacques assisted Hannah Miller in tying up the game, bringing the teams into overtime. Securing the win for the Fleet, Shay Maloney scored unassisted 41 seconds into OT!
Tonight, the Boston Fleet head to Climate Pledge Arena to go head-to-head with the Seattle Torrent. The Boston Fleet have defeated the Torrent the last three times they have seen each other. Will they be able to once again? Tune in tonight at 10 p.m. EDT!
