NWSL Week Four | April 3, 2026
The San Diego Wave travel to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts to face the Boston Legacy. The Legacy are still looking for their first win of the season, especially at home. In their last game against the Utah Royals, Aïssata Traoré scored the first-ever goal for the Legacy, and the stadium roared. The fans traveling to this game on Friday will want goals and a win, all in one.
The San Diego Wave are currently in second place with 9 points and a record of 3-0-1. They lost their first game of the season, and after that, they’ve been on a three-game winning streak. The Wave’s last game ended as a 2-0 win against the Chicago Stars, with goals from Lia Godfrey and Melanie Barcenas. The Wave will want to continue their streak, and are hoping for Boston to continue their losing streak.
The Legacy should look to pass the ball in the attacking third to their lone goal scorer, Aïssata Traoré, if they want to win the game versus the Wave. For the Wave, they should look for Dudinha to start the play and end the play as a goal from the youngster Melanie Barcenas.
