The Legacy goes international and partners up, while the CNE announces some new weekly awards!

Weekly Wrap Up:

Six players from the Boston Legacy FC have been called to play for their national teams for FIFA’s April window. For Team Colombia, Jorelyn Carabalí; for Team USA, Chloe Ricketts; for Canada, Nichelle Prince; for Mali, Aïssata Traoré; for Denmark, Josefine Hasbo; And for Venezuela, Barbara Olivieri. Good luck, athletes!

Additionally, for our Legacy FC, the team has recently announced their partnership with the Quincy-based Stop & Shop. This makes the store the Official Grocery Store of the Boston Legacy FC! As said by Jennifer Barr, Director of External Communications and Community Relations of Stop & Shop, “We believe that being a good neighbor means showing up for the communities we serve, especially when it comes to helping families facing food insecurity.” It is always nice to see our sports teams representing their community!

The Conference of New England announced their awards for the week! For women’s lacrosse’s awards, we have Ella Panalanza of Curry College, Olivia Francis of Endicott College and Riley Shepley of Johnson & Wales University. In the women’s track and field section, Abby Griffith and Tiana Brown of Endicott College, as well as Kenzie Cleary of the University of New England, are represented. Softball players Zofia Twarog of the University of New England and Analisa Grady of Endicott College were named. Congratulations!
