The Fleet drowned against the Charge last night!
The Boston Fleet sunk after the Ottawa Charge defeated them 3-1 in Game 2. In the first period, Ottawa’s Taylor House and Rory Guilday assisted Ronja Savolainen in the first goal of the game. This was the only point until the second period came around.
Only two minutes into the second, Ottawa scored once more thanks to Fanuza Kadiroza and her assistants, Rebecca Leslie and Jocelyne Larocque. About 18 minutes later, the Fleet secured a goal after Abby Newhook and Alina Müller assisted Megan Keller to get the puck in the net.
The puck and possession went back and forth for a bit, giving hope for Fleet fans that there was a chance for one more; however, Ottawa took charge and secured one more. Jocelyne Laroque assisted Gabbie Hughs, making the final score 3-1.
It was a light penalty night, the Ottawa Charge only serving two two-minute penalties and the Boston Fleet serving three. Goalkeepers held their own for the teams, especially when keeping morale up!
