June 2, 2026 – The Gateway Center at College Park, Atlanta, Georgia
The Connecticut Sun fell to the Atlanta Dream. The Sun couldn’t stop the Dream, led by standout performances by Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray.
The Atlanta Dream had a balanced effort from their team. Rhyne Howard put up a season high 36 points, while Allisha Gray put up 26 points. Both Angel Reese and Jordin Canada recorded double-doubles.
The Sun went on a 16-5 run from the second to the third quarter. However, the Dream took over, going on a 33-11 run from the end of the third quarter until the end of the game. Both teams had similar shooting percentages, but the Dream’s defense was the difference in this game. Atlanta out rebounded the Sun, and recorded 10 steals throughout the game.
The Sun continue to struggle, as they only have two wins on the season. The Dream were a tough opponent as they are near the top of the standings.
The Sun have had many struggles thus far, and have been unable to solve them. The offense was much better tonight as the team shot 47.3% from the floor. However, their 14 turnovers cost them the game. The team needs to find a balance between their starting five. Additionally, there needs to be more consistency each night.
Connecticut falls to 2-9 on the season. The Sun head on the road, taking on the Chicago Sky on Friday night.
