The Fleet look to bounce back against Montréal after a 1-0 loss in their last meeting.
The Boston Fleet will take on the Montréal Victoire on Friday, April 17, at Place Bell in Laval. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. EDT.
Friday’s matchup features two of the top teams in the league, with both Boston and Montréal entering the game with strong records and recent success. The two teams have already met three times this season, with Boston holding a slight edge in the series. However, Montréal enters the matchup having won the most recent meeting, a 1-0 shutout victory on April 11.
Boston comes into the game following a 3-2 win over Minnesota, continuing a strong stretch that has seen the team win four of its last five games. Offensively, the Fleet are led by Alina Müller, who has recorded 21 points this season, along with Jessie Eldridge and Megan Keller, who continue to contribute consistently.
Montréal enters the game on a six-game winning streak and remains one of the hottest teams in the league. The Victoire are led by Laura Stacey and Abby Roque, while Marie-Philip Poulin continues to be a key presence offensively.
Defensively, both teams have been among the league’s best, with Boston allowing 38 goals this season and Montréal allowing just 34. Special teams could also play a role, as Montréal holds a slight edge on the power play, while both teams rank near the top in penalty killing.
With playoff positioning on the line, Friday’s matchup presents another opportunity for Boston to measure itself against one of the league’s top contenders as the regular season winds down.
The game is to be played at Place Bell, at 7 p.m., and it will be livestreamed on local stations and the PWHL YouTube channel.
