Homegrown Athlete Spotlight: Zoe Demers

Building her skills at Manchester Central High and taking them to Manchester’s very own Southern New Hampshire University, Zoe Demers is the definition of a homegrown athlete!

Right in the heart of Southern New Hampshire University athletics, rising senior Zoe Demers has built a foundation right in her home state. A proud Manchester native and graduate of Manchester Central High School, Demers represents the true meaning of a homegrown athlete: developing her game in the same community she now represents at the collegiate level.

A marketing major, Demers came to SNHU with an already impressive resume. At Manchester Central High, she was a four-sport athlete, competing in field hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics and track & field, earning captain honors in both field hockey and track. She also secured First-Team All-State and Twin State recognition in field hockey, while excelling academically through National Honor Society and placement on the Principal’s List. That same work ethic has translated over to her college career.

After gaining experience in her freshman season, Demers emerged as a full-time starter in 2024, recording five goals and two assists while starting all 20 games. She took another major leap in 2025, finishing with 11 goals and 24 points, earning NE10 All-Conference First Team honors and NHFCA All-East Region Second Team recognition. Across 55 career games, she has totaled 16 goals and 36 points, developing into a reliable and dangerous presence on the field for the Penmen.

Equally impressive is Demers’ success in the classroom. A two-time NHFCA National Academic Squad selection and NE10 Fall Academic All-Conference honoree, she continues to embody the definition of a student athlete. Demers is heading into her senior season as a leader, both on and off the field. She is a testament to the idea that sometimes the strongest impact starts right in your home state.
